No Boundaries

Why is it we put boundaries on what God can do or what God will do? Are we really praying hard enough or are we praying safe things that we can probably control ourselves. We forget sometimes that God can move mountains if we have the faith to believe. He created the universe just by speaking. The God that created the universe is still in the miracle business. He is the same God that created everything. He has not changed. He did not stop creating and healing after the Bible was written. So why do we treat him that way?

We have worship every Monday morning with our Adventures team. This week was the first time we all were there. Many had gone home for the holidays and we added 3 more to the team the first of January. We worshiped with song and prayer for about an hour. After that we discussed Church Mobilization. The Guatemala Adventures team is raising up Guatemalans to be missionaries in their communities, to Central America and South America and eventually in non Spanish speaking countries. Last year we went to Peru, Nicaragua and Honduras. This year we hope to go to 5 countries. Gabe who is leading the mobilization was explaining some of the training to our new director Bob Corder when Bob asked Gabe to demonstrate some of the things that we are teaching the Guatemalans. Gabe said one of the things they teach is how to pray over people especially in healing. Gabe ask if anyone had pain today so Carol raised her hand. Her legs always hurt with nerve pain. He asked her what was her level of pain and she responded a 6 out of 10 with 10 being the highest pain. Gabe began to pray over Carol and after he was through praying he ask again what is your level of pain. The level had dropped to a 2 out of 10.  So Gabe prayed once more. You guessed it the pain was gone. Carol has not taken the pain med for her leg since then. She had this pain for 6-7 years.

So are we praying big enough? Are we asking for things only God can deliver? Take away the boundaries we put on God. We serve a loving Father who wants the best for us. He desperately wants to be in communion with us. He gave up his only son to have that relationship with us. Thank you Jesus.
