I had to go to Guatemala City early one morning and used a GPS app. called Waze. I sort of knew where I was going but I did not trust myself especially toward the end of the trip. I left the house around 5:20am to reach my destination by 7am. The GPS already said I would arrive at 7:15. As I said before I knew the way up until the final few miles so when Waze kept telling me to turn around I became confused and followed what I knew and my own instinct. Well as soon as I ignored it, my time of arrival increased to 7:45 instantly. To make a long story short I arrived at 8:20, 3 hours after I left.
Isn’t this what we do in our lives. God’s ways are not our ways. We do not trust He knows best and follow our own instincts. Go provided us with the manuel in the Bible and the perfect GPS system in the Holy Spirit. Why is it we doubt the One who created the earth and had a purpose in our life before we were even born.
Psalms 139 13-14
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Next time l will follow the instructions on Waze. It will save me time and my sanity. Are you listening to God or are you doing what is your normal routine? God may have you on a different path than you are used to. But at the end of the day it is better to spend that time with Him and following His ways
